The bunker
Olympic trap, also called bunker or international trap, is the trap event shot at the Olympics and governed by the ISSF. Instead of one swinging machine, 15 fixed machines sit in a trench in front of the shooters, three for each of the five stations.
Which of the three machines throws, and at what angle and height, follows set schemes that the shooter doesn't know in advance. The targets are faster and fly at wider angles than in American trap.
A round
A squad of six shoots together: five on the stations and the sixth waiting to step in at station 1. Each shooter fires at one target, then moves on to the next station, so the squad keeps moving down the line. A round is 25 targets.
Scoring
You may fire two shots at each target. A hit with either shot counts as one point, so your score is still out of 25.
In ISSF competition, qualification is 125 targets over five rounds, and the top six shooters go on to a final.
